Spinal pathology

1
Herniated Discs
It is a degenerative disease of the spine that occurs when a portion of the intervertebral disc (the structure that cushions the vertebrae of the spine) shifts and compresses nearby nerves. It can cause pain in the back, neck, arms, or legs, depending on its location. It is common in adults but can also occur in adolescents. Patients can generally manage symptoms with medical treatments (analgesics, physical therapy) and interventional treatments (medication or radiofrequency blocks). In less common cases, surgery may be required.
2
Scoliosis and Spinal Malformations
Scoliosis is an abnormal curvature of the spine that can appear in childhood, adolescence, or adulthood. Spinal malformations include congenital or acquired alterations in the structure of the spine that can affect posture, growth, or neurological function. A causal diagnosis must be established initially, and these conditions are generally treated with orthopedic doctors.
